The IBMP: Imperial Beijing Mounted Police

RCMP:
Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Stop,
and step aside
for the
IBMP:
Imperial Beijing Mounted Police...

He cruises through the busiest
pedestrian streets of
Beijing's historical district-
The Forbidden City,
Tiananmen Square...

What a sight,
and a great delight,
young and old,
stop in their steps,
to see an officer doing his rounds.

Assisting  the first time Chinese tourists,
who come from various distant provinces,
or conversing in signs
with lost foreign vistors,
in their mega metropolis.

A great marketing move,
for any city to replicate,
an automatic dignity elevator,
for  police enforcement,
people can cooperate,
willingly with little reinforcement.

Because seeing a mounted police,
not only adds glory,
to the city,
but also to the people in the community,
that we have reached a level of courtesy,
 mutual civility,
and environmental responsibility.

A great sight to behold in Beijing,
beats all the Hollywood police images,
Starsky and Hutch, Chips, COPS...
